SEOIt’s becoming harder and harder to create SEO strategies.

Long gone are the days when you could pack your site with keywords and get an avalanche of incoming links all with the same anchor text.

Sorry, that is no more!

Instead, todays SEO is all about usability and search quality.

Googlebot is becoming more sophisticated every single month and all of the changes that are being made by Google all have one thing in common – usability and relevancy.

So what do you need to do?

Well, first and foremost whatever you do make sure you do it with your website visitors in mind rather than the search engines. Those people who do find your site, are they on there for a long time? Do they visit many pages? Can they find what they what? Does the site load easily and do they have a great user “experience”?

In fact it could work to your advantage. No longer do you have to crawl the internet for the latest “trick” or SEO tip. Instead just focus on providing a great user experience and by providing your prospects and clients with useful and quality content.

The rest will take care of itself…

  1. Hey Sean,

I think on page SEO is still very important but link building not so much. Well unnatural link building anyway. Like you mention the best thing you can do is create really epic content that your readers and those in your niche love so much they can’t help but share it, link to it and talk about it.

    Stuff that gets natural links.

Brian Dean over at the Backlinko blog has some really intelligent and unique SEO strategies to get natural links that I still use but I’m done with blackhat link spamming techniques and forever trying to game Google personally.

    All the best

  2. What is the best practice of SEO in 2014, this is the question often asked by bloggers. Different people are using different techniques for regarding search engine optimization but it is always very necessary to stay update about SEO change. I like your post in which you are insisting people to care about their SEO techniques because search engines are getting more sophisticated day by day. Now natural things has great values rather than automatic software for building backlinks or content creation.
