slidesIf you are not using Slideshare for your marketing then you are missing out massively on a potentially huge audience!

Every month Slideshare has over sixty million unique visitors with the primary aim of these people looking for quality content to use business to business.

The potential for an increase in site traffic and eyes on your presentation has to be unlocked and you will see benefits for the business all round.

It gives you the chance to be creative – bland presentations will have little appeal so colour and innovation will win you the game.

By tagging the presentation appropriately like you would with a blog post, for example, then you will acquire the exact audience intended.

Slideshare is a great way of generating leads – have a call to action on your presentation and you can obtain potential customer’s information. Even just a small button linking to a contact form would do the trick.

Don’t be shy when making these presentations – throw in some videos, use eye catching images that lure the visitors in.

It is not just presentations you can upload – just a video or an infographic can be uploaded. Make sure you brand every one so they know where it has come from.

For a bit of extra cash you have the analytics side of Slideshare – who is viewing your presentations, where are they being referred and which presentations are the most popular with your target market.

The uploading process is simple – Slideshare instantly recognises the type of content it is so it can format it appropriately. It also pulls text from your presentation to enhance the SEO.

Throwing links on your Slideshare will only make things better – Google loves a good link on a Slideshare with them always promoting that everyone needs to be posting high quality content.

Like with other content sharing websites – people can subscribe to your Slideshare if you are interesting enough. The more and more content you post that will interest your followers – the higher the following you will gain. This is made even easier by using other social media to look for people you may already know.

Integrate your marketing by adding your Slideshare URL to brochures and business cards.

The cost of producing these is minimal and by creating professional and informative presentations it will only give your brand positive connotations.

Be creative – and who knows – you might even go viral.
